Regge trajectory

Regge trajectory

[′reg·ə trə‚jek·trē] (particle physics) The path followed by a Regge pole in the complex angular momentum plane as the center-of-mass energy is varied. The relationship between the spin and mass of a sequence of hadrons, with successive hadrons increasing by 2 in spin and also increasing in mass, but with the same values of other quantum numbers; the hadrons are thought to correspond to energies at which a Regge pole passes near positive integers (or half integers).
