Viliui Plateau
an elevated part of the Central Siberian Plateau in the basin of the upper course of the Viliui River and its tributaries the Markha and Olenek (in the Yakut ASSR). Length, about 400 km; width, about 200 km. the elevation of the plateau-like areas between the valleys ranges from 700 to 900 m (the greatest elevation is 962 m). It is composed of traps forming finished veins in the lower Paleozoic rock layer. There is tundra on the flat summits and sparse larch taiga on the slopes.
