Regional Development Agency (RDA)
a government body responsible for pursuing policies to achieve a combination of economic, social and environmental improvements in the regions of the UK (see REGIONAL POLICY). There are currently nine RDAs in England (North West, North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, West Midlands, East Midlands, East, South East, London and the South West) and one each covering Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
