Shakhrikhan

(until Nov. 13, 1970, the settlement of Moskovskii), a city under oblast jurisdiction and administrative center of Moskovskii Raion, Andizhan Oblast, Uzbek SSR. Shakhrikhan has a railroad station 32 km southwest of Andizhan. Enterprises include a cotton-ginning plant, a silk factory, and a branch of the Andizhan Clothing Factory. The city has a museum of local lore.
