Tyrma

 

an urban-type settlement in Verkhniaia Bureia Raion, Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR. Located on the right bank of the Tyrma River, the settlement is served by a railroad station on the Izvestkovaia-Chegdomyn branch line. Tyrma has a logging and timber distribution establishment and enterprises serving railroad transportation.


Tyrma

 

a river in Khabarovsk Krai, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Bureia River in the Amur River basin. The Tyrma is 334 km long and drains an area of 15,100 sq km. It rises in the Malyi Khingan Range and is fed primarily by rain. The mean flow rate 12 km from the mouth is 195 cu m per sec. The river freezes in November, and the ice breaks up between the end of April and mid-May. The Tyrma’s main tributaries are the Iaurin on the left and the Gudzhal and Sutyr’ on the right.
