Tyry

a river in the Yakut ASSR; a right tributary of the Aldan River of the Lena River basin. The Tyry measures 327 km in length and drains an area of 14,000 sq km. It originates in the Suntar-Khaiata Range and intersects the Sette-Daban Range. It is fed by snow and rain. The mean flow rate is approximately 85 cu m per sec. The Tyry freezes in the first half of October, and the ice breaks up in mid-May.
