Shamlug

an urban-type settlement in Tumanian Raion, Armenian SSR. Shamlug is situated 24 km from the city of Alaverdi and 8 km from the Akhtala railroad station. Copper ore is mined in the vicinity. Shamlug has a branch of the Alaverdi Garment Factory.
