Underwater Channel Swell

a narrow ridge extending along the channel of an underwater valley. The length can be from several kilometers to several dozens of kilometers; the height is 5-10 to 20-30 m. The swell is usually composed of silty-sandy material and forms as a result of sediments deposited by lee currents flowing along underwater valleys.
