Suratgarh

a city in India, in the state of Rajasthan. Population, 14,500 (1971). Near Suratgarh there is a large state-owned farm, created with the help of the USSR in 1956. Cereal, oilproducing, and industrial crops are grown, and high-quality seeds are cultivated. Purebred livestock is also bred.
