Surazh

a city and administrative center of Surazh Raion, Briansk Oblast, RSFSR. Surazh is located on the Iput’ River of the Dnieper River basin. It has a railroad station on the Unecha-Orsha line, 177 km southwest of Briansk. Industrial enterprises include a factory for the manufacture of industrial cardboard, a clothing factory, a fruit- and vegetable cannery, a creamery, and a brickyard. The city also has a pedagogical school.
