Petermann Glacier

(Petermann Brae), part of the ice cap in northwestern Greenland. Petermann Glacier is 200 km long, with widths to 60 km. It extends into Hall Basin, where it ends in a thin, almost flat tongue that floats on the water. It was named in honor of A. Petermann.
