Sakar

an urban-type settlement and administrative center (since 1976) of Sakar Raion, Chardzhou Oblast, Turkmen SSR. Located on the left bank of the Amu Darya River, 12 km from the river and 24 km southeast of Chardzhou. A cotton-ginning plant is located in Sakar.
