Tashkentskie Mineral’nye Vody
(Tashkent Mineral Waters), a balneological health resort in the Uzbek SSR, located 20 km from Tashkent. Summers are hot, with an average July temperature of 27°C, and winters are mild, with an average January temperature of – 1°C. Annual precipitation is approximately 370 mm. The water from the springs is used for baths and for drinking; the water of spring No. 2 is bottled. Diseases treated at the resort include those of the musculoskeletal system, the peripheral nervous system, and the digestive organs, as well as gynecological and skin diseases. The resort has a sanatorium and a bathhouse.
