Tash Kurghan

a city in northwestern China, in Sinkiang Uighur Autonomous Region. Tash Kurghan is situated on the Tash Kurghan River, a tributary of the Yarkand. It is a transit point on a highway. Industry includes the processing of raw agricultural products and the production of handicrafts, mainly rugs. A tungsten mine is in the area.
