Petrov Glacier
a glacier in the Tien-Shan, in the Kirghiz SSR, in the mountains of Akshiirak. Source of the Kumtor River, the headstream of the Naryn. Covering an area of 73.9 sq km, it is 14.3 km long and 1.8 km wide in the lower part. The glacier is named after the topographer in A. V. Kaul’bars’ expedition of 1869.
