Tas-Khaiakhtakh

 

a mountain range in northeastern Siberia, in the Yakut ASSR. The Tas-Khaiakhtakh is located in the Cherskii Highland, on the divide between the lana and Indigirka rivers. It is about 100 km long and rises to a maximum elevation of 2,356 m. It is composed of aleurolites, argillites, and granites. On the slopes there are sparse larch forests, which above 1,000 m give way to cedar thickets and lichen mountain tundra.
