Shatberti

 

an ancient Georgian monastery that flourished during the rule of the Tao-Klardzhenti principality, which existed in what is now Turkey. Shatberti was founded in the first half of the ninth century by the Georgian archimandrite Grigorii Khandzti. One of the greatest centers of Georgian culture, it was renowned for its illuminated manuscripts. The exact location of the monastery is unknown.
