Vacuflex Reflexology System

Vacuflex Reflexology System

Fringe medicine
A proprietary system of reflexology developed in the 1970s by a Danish reflexologist, lnge Dougans, based on her belief that the effects of reflexology are achieved by stimulating energy zones defined by the meridians of oriental medicine, rather than those defined by William Fitzgerald, the founder of reflexology in the US.

The Vacuflex Reflexology System stimulates all of the reflexology areas simultaneously through the use of a special boot, in which a vacuum is created; after five minutes of suction, the foot is then examined to identify areas of discolouration, which are believed to correspond to areas of illness. Suction pads are then placed on the congested areas, which are believed to stimulate the reflex points into activity.
