Dates of birth and death unknown. Author of the work A Description of the Journey … From Kraków to Moscow and From Moscow to Kraków, March 19, 1606 Through December 15, 1608. It was first published in German in 1610; a Russian-language edition appeared in 1832.

A Nuremberg merchant, Peyerle arrived in Moscow in May 1606. By the time he left Russia in August 1608, he had witnessed the Peasant Revolt led by I. I. Bolotnikov. Peyerle gave a detailed and precise description of several events, including the First False Dmitrii’s march on Moscow and wedding to Marina Mniszek, and the popular uprising.
