Salihli

a city in western Turkey, in Manisa Vilayet; located in the valley of the Gediz River. Population, 38,000 (1970). Sal-ihli is a railroad junction; it is the trade center for an agricultural region growing cotton, tobacco, and grapes. Salihli has textile and food industries.
