the hang of (something)

A general understanding of or familiarity with to do or operate something. Typically used after the verbs "have" or "get." I know it's really tricky to do now, but once you get the hang of it, it will start to feel second nature. I think I have the hang of this computer now. Thanks for your help!See also: hang, of
