Sologubov, Nikolai
Sologubov, Nikolai Mikhailovich
Born Aug. 8, 1924, in Moscow. Soviet hockey player. Honored Master of Sports (1956); officer of the Soviet Army.
Sologubov was champion of the USSR nine times between 1949 and 1964 and European champion six times between 1955 and 1963. He was world champion in 1956 and 1963 and Olympic champion in 1956. Sologubov was voted best defenseman at the Olympic games in 1956 and 1960 and at the world championships in 1957.
Sologubov has been awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and various medals.
