Established: Authorized on February 24, 1992. Preservation efforts will be carried out in partnership by the U.S. Virgin Islands Government and the U.S. National Park Service.
Location:On northern Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Activities:Swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking.
Special Features:Park contains the only known site where members of the Columbus expedition set foot on what is now U.S. territory. It also preserves upland watersheds, mangrove forests, and estuarine and marine environments. The site is marked by Fort Sale, a remaining earthworks fortification from the Dutch period of occupation.
