St. Elias, Mount

one of the tallest peaks in the St. Elias Mountains, on the Canada-Alaska border. Elevation, 5,488 m. Mount St. Elias has extensive neve fields, feeding the valley-type Tyndall glacier, which comes down into Icy Bay (Gulf of Alaska).
