Location:In Iosco County, 2.5 miles southeast of East Tawas off US 23.

Special Features:Park is situated on the peninsula separating Tawas Bay from Lake Huron.It is a stopover point for hundreds of species of migratory birds,making it a favorite spot for bird watchers from all over the Midwest.The Tawas Point Lighthouse, built in 1876, is located at the park, witha museum store that's open May-October. The lighthouse is openfor tours on week-ends Memorial Day through LaborDay, and the walk to the top of the tower offers a spectacular view ofthe bay.
