Susamyr Valley
(also Susamyr Basin), a depression of the Tien-Shan, in the Kirghiz SSR, situated between the Talass Alatau and Kirghiz ranges, to the north, and the Susamyrtau and Dzhumgaltau ranges, to the south. The Susamyr Valley is irrigated by the Susamyr and Zapandnyi Karakol rivers of the Naryn River basin. The lowest part is situated at an elevation of 2,100–2,500 m and is partially swampy. The valley’s mountain steppes of fescue grass and meadow steppes are used as pastureland.
