Location:15 miles west of San Rafael on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Activities:Camping, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Special Features:Park features wooded countryside with a unique mix of coast redwoodsgroves and open grassland in the rolling hills of Marin County north ofSan Francisco. In the 1870s and 1880s, the resort area known as CampTaylor was one of the first places in the nation to offer outdoorcamping as a form of recreation. Today the site of Camp Taylor lieswithin the boundaries of the state park.
