Przemsza

 

a river in southern Poland, a left tributary of the Vistula. It is 88 km long and drains an area of 2,100 sq km; the mean flow rate is approximately 20 cu m per sec. The Przemsza flows in a canalized channel through the Upper Silesian coal field. The flow is regulated by dams. The river is used to supply water to industrial enterprises and for shipping coal.
