Sanatron
Sanatron
a phantastron in which a vacuum-tube or transistor auxiliary control stage is used to generate a forced operating mode in the main stage, which produces a working sawtooth voltage that varies in accordance with a piecewise-linear law. Sanatrons are used in pulse engineering as sawtooth generators that have a short operating phase (less than 10 microseconds).
