Sanchursk

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sanchursk Raion, Kirov Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Bol’shaia Kokshaga River (a tributary of the Volga), 30 km west of the Nuzh’ialy railroad station on the Zelenyi Dol-Tabashino branch line. Sanchursk has a butter factory, a plant producing beer and soft drinks, a wood-products combine, and meat-packing plant. The city also has a medical school.
