Philippe, Édouard Charles,

1970–, French lawyer and political leader, b. Rouen, grad. Paris Institute of Political Studies, 1992, National School of Administration, 1997. He worked as a lawyer for France's Council of State (1997–2002), then was an official for the center-right Union for a Popular Movement party (later the Republicans; 2002–4), public affairs director for the state nuclear group AREVA (2007–10), and mayor of Le Havre (2010–17).
