Shikarpur

a city in Pakistan, in Sind Province, near the Indus River. Population, 62,500 (1969). Shikarpur has a railroad station. Industry is represented by cotton-ginning, rice-processing, and flour milling enterprises. Handicrafts include the production of silk and cotton fabrics, carpets, pottery, and indigo dyes.
