Trutnev, Iurii Alekseevich

 

Born Nov. 2,1927, in Moscow. Soviet physicist. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1964); Hero of Socialist Labor. Member of the CPSU since 1961.

Trutnev graduated from Leningrad State University in 1950. His main works deal with theoretical physics. He has received the Lenin Prize and has been awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and various medals.
