Sphygmomanometric cuff pressure that is > actual BP, due to markedly calcified–'pipestem' brachial arteries; it is most common in the elderly with extensive ASHD Diagnosis Osler's maneuver, a bedside method for assessing the palpability of the radial or brachial pulse distal to a point of presumed occlusion.
