Aziia i Afrika Segodnia

(Asia and Africa Today), a monthly scientific and sociopolitical journal of the Oriental Institute and the Institute of the Peoples of Africa, both of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. It was first published in Moscow in July 1957; until March 1961 it was called Sovremennyi Vostok (Contemporary East). The journal publishes articles and surveys on the domestic and international problems of Asian and African countries, travel notes, essays, commentaries, reviews, and information and reference materials. It acquaints the reader with the literature and art, cultural events, and scientific life in Asia and Africa.
