pseudoptosis 

A condition resembling ptosis, due to abnormalities other than those found in the eyelid elevator muscles. Causes include blepharophimosis, dermatochalasis, ipsilateral hypotropia, phthisis bulbi, microphthalmos, anophthalmos, or a decrease in orbital volume as in enophthalmos. Syn. apparent ptosis.
