Stepping Hill Hospital poisoning

Stepping Hill Hospital poisoning

An investigation into the deaths of three patients and presumed poisoning—by insulin in saline drips—of 17 patients at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport, on the outskirts of Manchester (UK). After the first few cases appeared, the Greater Manchester Police arrested Nurse RJ Leighton, who spent 6 weeks in custody before she was released and the charges dropped. The perpetrator is yet to be found.
