pseudoseizure

(sood?o-se'zhur) [ pseudo- + seizure] A series of movements or behaviors that resemble a seizure but are not caused by abnormal electrical brain activity. Some are simulated for secondary gain, and some by psychological causes; they can be stopped by an act of will. Synonym: nonepileptic attack disorder; psychogenic nonepileptic seizure
