Tizi-Ouzou

a city in northern Algeria. Administrative center of the Tizi-Ouzou wilaya. Population, 25,900 (1966). Tizi-Ouzou is the commercial and transportation center of the surrounding agricultural region. There is vegetable-oil milling and a textile industry.
