Pshav

 

an ethnic group of Georgians living in Dusheti Raion, Georgian SSR, in the basin of the Pshav Aragvi River, and in densely populated settlements in certain regions of Eastern Georgia. The Pshav speak their own dialect of Georgian. In the past, they displayed certain distinctive local features in culture and daily customs. They were known for their skill in making woolen items, such as khurdzhiny (a type of bag worn on the shoulder) and leg wraps.
