[O. O-dimethyl (N-phthalimidomethyl)-dithiophosphate], a chemical compound used to combat pests of fruit, berry, and field crops. It is manufactured in the form of concentrated emulsions or in the form of wettable powder. The application rate varies from 0.5 to 3 kg/hectare. Phosmet is highly toxic to man and animals.
