Sonkovo

a urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sonkovo Raion, Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR. Sonkovo is a junction for railroad lines to Rybinsk, Bologoe, Moscow, and Ovinishche; it is located 160 km northeast of Kalinin. Sonkovo has enterprises serving the railroad industry, a flax-processing plant, a milk plant, and a food-processing combine.
