phosphaturic mesenchymal tumour

A rare and very small mesenchymal tumour that causes osteomalacia by secreting a phosphaturic hormone—fibroblast growth factor-23/FGF-23. Most are termed phosphaturic mesenchymal tumours, mixed connective tissue type, and occur in middle-aged adults, either in soft tissue or bone.
Management
Excision reduces phosphate wasting and osteomalacia.
