Stereophotogrammetry

Stereophotogrammetry

the branch of photogrammetry that studies the geometric properties of stereopairs and the methods of determining the dimensions, shapes, and spatial position of objects from images on stereopairs. A distinction is made between aerial and terrestrial stereophotogrammetry, which study aerial photographs and ground (phototheodolite) photographs, respectively. Photographs taken from outer space are also used in stereophotogrammetry.
