Location:7 miles west of I-5, or 33 miles east of Highway 101 from Gilroy.
Facilities:132 developed family campsites (53 with electric and water hookups;some sites @di), more than 500 undeveloped campsites, group camp,primitive horse campground, showers, restrooms (é), picnic areas (é), visitor center (é),exhibits, trails, boat ramps.
Activities:Camping, fishing, swimming, boating, jet skiing, water-skiing,windsurfing, sailboarding, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting(seasonal).
Special Features:San Luis Reservoir is part of the California Aqueduct System and comprises three artificial lakes: San Luis Reservoir, O'Neill Forebay, and Los Banos Creek Reservoir. Fishing is excellent with large populations of striped bass, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and channel catfish.
