Vselug

a lake in Kalinin Oblast, RSFSR, on the Valdai Hills. Regulated by a dam (the Upper Volga beishlot). Area (with Lake Peno), 37 sq km; average depth, 7.7 m; maximum depth, 16 m. The upper course of the Volga River after it emerges from Lake Sterzh passes through Lake Vselug. A shoal 15-20 m wide, composed of pebbles and boulders, stretches along the shore of the lake. There is fishing on Lake Vselug.
