Suzun

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Suzun Raion, Novosibirsk Oblast, RSFSR, on the Nizhnii Suzun River, a tributary of the Ob’. Railroad station on the Barnaul-Karasuk line, 217 km southwest of Novosibirsk. Population, 13,300 (1975). Suzun has a logging and timber distribution establishment, a mechanical-repair plant, a creamery, a furniture factory, a garment factory, and a meat-packing plant.
