a city in China, in Kiangsi Province. Tayii is one of the centers of tungsten mining and is a transit point on the Kanchou-Tayü-Shaokuan road.


Tayü

 

a mountain range in southeastern China, in the eastern part of the Nanling mountain system. The range is about 100 km long, with heights of 1,466 m. The steep slopes are dissected by numerous ravines. Garnet and limestone predominate, and karst is widely developed. There are large deposits of tungsten; on the mountains there are evergreen subtropical forests.
