Santa Rosa de Osos

a city in northwestern Colombia, on the slopes of the Cordillera Central, in the department of Antioquia. Population, 18,000 (1969). Santa Rosa de Osos is the center of a gold-mining region and an agricultural region that raises cattle and grows sugarcane, coffee, and fruit. Agricultural products are processed in the city.
