photographic scaleThe ratio of a distance measured on a photograph or mosaic to the corresponding distance on the ground, classified as follows: a. very large scale--1:4,999 and larger; b. large scale--1:5,000 to 1:9,999; c. medium scale--1:10,000 to 1:24,999; d. small scale--1:25,000 to 1:49,999; e. very small scale--1:50,000 and smaller. It is very large scale when the ratio is larger than 14,999; large when it is from 15,000 to 109,999; medium when it is from 110,000 to 124,999; small when it is from 125,000 to 149,999; and very small when it is 150,000 and smaller. |
